The Black Room

Don’t call it a comeback, we’ve been here a year…

It’s been a year since we opened the doors of The Black Room. You’d be forgiven for asking… what the hell happened?

Well, the project has been moving forward, but in very small steps. After our premier at CICE 2015, Terry and I met to discuss what we wanted to do next. Would we shoot another episode? Would we start work on the whole series? Should we shoot for the moon and try to film a 90 minute movie? If we did any of the above, how would we fund it? Kickstarter? Patreon? Bank heist?

Every option was on the table. (Well, except maybe Kickstarter)

We had some great advice as well from industry professionals who had seen the pilot episode and loved it- advice that drove us to our decision to try and find a real home for The Black Room – somewhere more permanent and somewhere where we would get access to funding, advice, and people who could take this story and run with it. We already had a great team, none of whom we want to leave behind, but The Black Room was already starting to feel like something… big.

So, it’s been a year of emails, letters, meetings, and phone calls. There’s nothing to report yet, we’re in that world of “news we can’t talk about yet”, but this project is far from dormant. It’s just… hiding. Lurking. Waiting to pounce.

So, watch this space!
